Wildguard#2 Out Now

Wildguard#2 is out and I am very proud to say I was joined by two of my good friends, Ray-Anthony Height and Benny Fuentes on the Astro-Girl back-up feature. Todd Nauck couldn't be a better guy to work with and he even included our deviantart links in the book, which I think was a nice surprise to all of us.

Benny colored all of the interlocking covers for the series as well, so please pick up all 3 of these issues if you can!

Free Comic Book Day

Wow! FCBD was a blast this year. I am still amazed at the amount of great folks that I met while signing books and doing sketches. I think my favorite thing is doing sketches for kids, since I may be a small part of what sparks them into a lifelong passion for comics and/or artwork and reading in general. My own kids even asked for sketches from me when they saw the others waiting in line for theirs. All in all the folks at the Dark Side Comics in Sarasota, FL really treated me well and had hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill and plenty of sodas. I have yet to read all of the books I got, since the shop had every FCBD comic that was available on hand. To all who attended the signing or got a free sketch, thank you. I had as much fun doing them as you had getting them. See everyone next year:)

I figured I'd post a few of those pages here myself...

The book's got my name spelled wrong yet again. This is a running joke for me, since most everything I do (if I don't letter and/or design it myself) has my name spelled incorrectly. However, these are also some of the best inks I've done and, if the universe has any justice, Ray should be working on a regular monthly Spider-man book.

So, what are you waiting for? Go out and buy a copy or 2 for you and friend.

Mainstay & Marvel A Winning Combo

So, this past month I've been locked into an insane schedule, trying to complete what was hopefully the first of many inking assignments for Marvel Comics. I was fortunate to have had Ray Height bring me on board one of the most exhausting, but rewarding comic books I've ever done. I was a huge Spider-man fan as a kid and most people still consider him to be the most iconic super-hero next to Superman.

Plus, the issue of Spider-man Family (#8 if anyone asks) includes Iron Man as an added bonus to the issue. I have yet to find out what I can or can't show at this point, so I am posting the warm up inking I did over some of Ray's sketches along with some of my coloring attempts as well. Enjoy!
